Selfish Motives

When one is selfish they 

Lack consideration for others

Are concerned chiefly with one’s own personal profit or pleasure

Have an attitude of being concerned with one’s own interests above the interests of others

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder (confusion) and every evil practise

Reasons for selfish motives are

Gaining power

Receiving accolades or praise

Gaining benefits or getting a bigger piece of the pie

It is not personal gain 

It is team achievement
